“Spring Alive!” is a three day Mission during Pentecost weekend, from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd May, in Lydiard Millicent. For over a year a small team from All Saints Church have been planning a weekend of fun events cumulating with a Pentecost Sunday service, led by Bishop Lee.

Here is a brief description of the events planned;

This is a fun event with local talent, such as a puppet team, comedy acts, a talented organist, and other musicians; we also hope to have a local school choir, and a host of people who are good at telling stories. Wine and soft drinks will be served in the interval.

In the run up to this weekend we have started an eco project with the assistance of Wiltshire Wildlife trust, and it is up and running in the churchyard. Children from Lydiard Millicent School’s Eco Club have helped sow seeds, and build a log pile to encourage wildlife.

The planning team believe that there is something for everyone to enjoy during these three days, and the service on the Sunday should be a wonderful celebration. Team Vicar Revd Tudor Roberts says that “We hope that many people will take the opportunity to do something enjoyable, enjoy God’s creation, and discover that the Church and the local area is a place where God can be encountered”.
