A Message From Rev. Tudor Roberts
All Saints Lydiard Millicent, a Church where people come to faith, grow in faith and put their faith into action.
Do you want to be in a church where everyone’s gifts are used? Being Team Vicar of All Saints is a great job. Having worked in parishes in Essex, London and Argentina it’s great to be in Wiltshire, nearer to Wales! I am Welsh by birth, 50 years young, married with two children, and I love being a husband, a dad, and a Vicar. I became a Christian in Paris and am still excited about who Jesus is, and what he can do in people’s lives.
I love seeing a Church full of people of all ages. A Church where people are ready to learn, ready to encounter the power of the Holy Spirit, and wanting to reach out to their community. All Saints is a great Church where all ages and backgrounds are there on a Sunday morning and we now have evening services too.
From bell ringers to those who like going off to Greenbelt or New Wine, All Saints is a Church where you will find a home. Every month our All Age service is a time when drama, songs and a short talk ensure that the church is enjoyable. Good children’s work is key to what we do and whether it’s at a service or in their groups my experience is they enjoy Church. Adults enjoy the chance to join Home Groups, or to experience different services such as the 8.00am and 6.30pm services.
All Saints is not a Church where the Vicar does everything. I work with a great team of people, from those who help organise worship, to those who run the crèche, and people who are ready to pray through any need you may have.
I passionately believe in a Church being a place and a group of people who want to grow. It’s my experience and my hope that All Saints is the sort of Church where you can grow in your Christian faith. We regularly run Alpha courses to find out about Christianity, and The Freedom in Christ Course for those who want to go deeper. We also have a brilliant team of people who have youth on their heart. They spend time in putting on good groups for them, and a number of our congregation are active in the wider area of youth outreach.
People from All Saints care as well, for those who have needs, through prayer, through visiting, through helping with a weekly Parish lunch club, and through ensuring that no one is left out.
If this is the sort of church that interests you, one where boys and girls, men and women are encouraged to grow with God then why not come along, or contact me.
