Exploring Christianity

Exploring Christianity (not to be confused with Christianity Explored!)

Time to find out more?

If you feel ready to learn more about your faith, you might enjoy an Exploring Christianity course.

This is an evening course made up of six ten-week modules:

  • Spirituality and Prayer
  • New Testament
  • Questions of Faith
  • Reshaping Church
  • Old Testament
  • Challenging Choices – Christian Ethics

The format is flexible. You can either study just the modules which interest you, or you can join us for the whole course. There is the opportunity to gain a Bishop’s Certificate if you produce written assignments for each module, but there is no obligation to do this. If you feel called to Licensed Lay Ministry, however, completion of Exploring Christianity (with assignments) will count towards your training.

The next Exploring Christianity course in this area will start on Thursday January 12th 2017, 7.30 pm, at Lydiard Millicent Primary School. Your tutors are the Revd Tudor Roberts, vicar of All Saints Lydiard Millicent, and Richenda Milton-Daws, an LLM from the North Wiltshire Deanery, helped for part of the year 2017 by Revd Trevor Day of West Swindon and Tregoze  Partnership. For more information and to register, contact Jayne Mathias at Church House – jayne.mathias@bristoldiocese.org – or ring the Ministry Development office on 0117 906 0100.
