The Marist Centre in Nympsfiled writes

We extend a warm welcome to you. The Marist Retreat Centre is a homely and caring place where you can relax, slow down and enter quiet moments for reflection and peace. You can reconnect with God, with others and with yourself.

High in the Cotswolds, Nympsfield is a quiet little village, at around 800 feet above sea level, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and situated not far from the cities of Bath and Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester and close to the towns of Nailsworth, Stroud and Tetbury.

We, the Marist Sisters and Staff of the Marist Retreat Centre, endeavour through our prayer life and in a spirit of faith and service to others, to live our lives, with Mary as our model, in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Our mission is one of hospitality, as we graciously welcome individuals and groups – schools, parish, youth, family, Alpha, Ministry to Priests, Retreats and all who choose to spend time at our Centre either as residents or for quiet days to enrich their spiritual lives.

Canon Ray Brazier

Ray describes himself as ‘a retired vicar, but never a retired Priest!’  He is currently working in a number of areas of ministry support in Bristol Diocese, including vocations, mentoring, ministerial development, and spiritual direction.  He loves reading, the arts (especially drama and theatre), spending time with family and friends, and is, he says, ‘excited by the challenges and opportunities facing the Church today.
