Hi! My name is Fran Youings, and I am delighted to be joining All Saint’s, Lydiard Millicent as your new part-time Vicar in March! I am so looking forward to getting to know you all and becoming part of the Lydiard Millicent church family and community. I know it will be a new experience for you to have a part-time Vicar, but it will be an absolute priority for me to get to know you well, and to spend as much time as I can in the village on my working days!
For the last 4 years I have been serving as an Associate Minister at an Anglican church plant in Bath called Grace Church which has been a wonderful experience. Much of my working life prior to ordination has been as a church youth minister.
I am married to Adrian who has just started a role as Interim Priest for Swindon Deanery and we have two grown-up children (Becca and Tom). Our daughter is married and we now have a beautiful 7 month year old granddaughter called Flo. Our Son, Tom is engaged and works as a lighting technician on musical theatre productions that tour the UK. I hope you will be able to meet them all soon and certainly get to know Alfie (our friendly Border-poo) too!
My licensing service will be on Thursday 19th March and I would love it if you were able to come and cheer me on as we step into this new season God has called us to as a church family together.
