Home Communion
For those who are unable to attend services in person due to illness, limited mobility, or other circumstances, we offer Home Communion.
What is Home Communion?
Home Communion is when a minister or trained lay person visits someone in their home, hospital, or care setting to share bread and wine consecrated at church. It is a way of including everyone in the worshipping life of our church family, even when they cannot physically be present.
Who Can Receive It?
Home Communion is available to:
- Anyone who normally receives communion in church but cannot attend at present.
- Those who are housebound or in hospital.
- Individuals in residential or nursing care homes.
How Does It Work?
- A minister or pastoral assistant will arrange a suitable time to visit.
- The service is typically 45 minutes and follows the familiar pattern of Communion in church.
- Family members or carers are very welcome to join in.
